1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using TodayLine (the "Application"), you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Application.
2. Description of Service
TodayLine is a desktop application that connects to your Google Calendar account and displays your scheduled events for the current day in a semi-transparent floating overlay window. The Application is currently available on Windows, with macOS support planned. The Application provides read-only access to your calendar data and does not modify, delete, or create any calendar events.
3. Google Account & Permissions
To use TodayLine, you must have a valid Google account and grant the Application permission to access your Google Calendar data (read-only). By authorizing TodayLine, you acknowledge that:
- TodayLine will request only the calendar.readonly OAuth scope — the minimum permission required to display your events.
- You can revoke TodayLine's access to your Google account at any time via your Google Account Permissions page.
- TodayLine's access to Google Calendar is subject to Google's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
4. Permitted Use
You may use TodayLine for personal or professional purposes to view your own Google Calendar events. You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Application.
- Use the Application to access calendar data belonging to other users without their explicit consent.
- Use the Application for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
- Attempt to bypass or circumvent any security measures in the Application.
5. Data & Privacy
Your use of TodayLine is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference into these Terms. In summary:
- Calendar data is fetched in real time and displayed locally on your device only.
- No calendar data is stored on external servers or shared with third parties.
- OAuth credentials are stored securely using the operating system's credential storage (e.g., Windows Credential Manager or macOS Keychain).
6. Intellectual Property
TodayLine and all associated intellectual property rights (including but not limited to software, design, graphics, and documentation) are owned by the developer. Nothing in these Terms grants you any rights to use the developer's trademarks, trade names, or branding.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
TodayLine is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. The developer does not warrant that the Application will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, TodayLine, even if the developer has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
9. Modifications to the Application and Terms
The developer reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue TodayLine at any time without notice. These Terms may also be updated from time to time. Continued use of the Application after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
